Speaking In The Street And Robbie Williams Quotes
Having somebody say something to me in the street is nothing out of the ordinary. Since having had my hair cut (and then cut again), I get a lot less people shouting stuff at me, but since getting my military jacket, I get a lot of old women complimenting me.
This morning, on my way out for breakfast, I was left somewhat speechless at what a random man, presumably on his way to the shops, said to me.
I was casually walking down the road with my headphones in and I saw him ahead of me. He stopped walking, looked at me and waiting until I was walking level with him before simply saying,
The man then proceeded to walk away, breaking into a slight jog, and then walking again before disappearing out of sight.
The context of this encounter being that I had never seen or spoken to this man in my life. I didn't engage him in any way other than to look up slightly to make sure I didn't walk into anybody as I came round the corner. This literally came out of nowhere.
I literally do not know how to take this.

Oh Look, Here Comes New Year's Eve
So would ya look at that? It's New Year's Eve!
I can never really decide what my opinion on New Year's Eve is. I've had some pretty good New Year's Eves, and I've had pretty terrible ones. My general all-year-round opinion is that New Year's Eve is shit and is forever going to be shit, no amount of good New Year's Eves are ever going to change that. When I'm actually at a New Year's thing, I could be having a really good time, but it always ends up feeling a bit anti-climatic.
Yes, I do know how cliched it is to find New Year's Eve anti-climatic, but there is definitely a reason why a cliche becomes a cliche. Because it happens all the time.
This is year, I'm going for the reverse-psychology approach.
Basically, my idea is that if I make myself believe that the night is going to be a failure in every possible way, I will have a much better night than I could have ever imagined.
The only problem there, is that every year, my expectations will have to lower until they no longer can. I'll end up stuck in a cycle of not looking forward to new year, enjoying new year, expecting a good new year again but trying to convince myself it will be rubbish, and then enjoying it slightly less and less until I curl up into a ball at sob uncontrollably at even the mention of the night.
I think that plan may have very quickly unfolded right in front of me.
This year is looking set to be a complete failure though. What with this pathetic divide between the group, the fact that Robin is working until close, everything I have planned is last minute & just the night is essentially destined to be a total car crash.

Getting The Drawings And Stuff In!
Bit of a boring post, but I'll end up saying it at some point, so when is better than now?
So I think I'm going to throw myself head first back into drawing once all the Christmas aftermath and the business of the whole Christmas/New Year has died down.
I can't even really say I've been neglecting it because I spent a good week and a half drawing at the start of the month for my College Tutor:
What I'll probably end up doing is just saying what I don't like about the pictures or doing them. For instance, with this one; I seriously fucking hate hair and backgrounds. Plus I am just a generally messy bastard. Although, I am quite pleased with the t-shirt.
So just to anyone who cares; I'm going to post any pictures I do in the future on here as well as on my DeviantArt Page.
I've got a good couple of things to do:
- Fire For Effect EP Cover
- Picture for Jess from dA
- Finally finish James Dean
- Finally finish Ross Jarman
Plus I just decide to do stuff whenever I feel like it.
