Elisha Cuthbert as a blond-haired, blue-eyed, pouty-lipped actress became renowned form her spectacular performance in the role of the rebellious daughter on the hit series "24". She is credited with an incontestable all-American good looks.











Though she has made her career on the USA she in reality hails from Canada. She is known as the popular co-host of the children's television series of Canada known as the Popular Mechanics for Kids.

But it was her performance in the role of Kimberly Bauer, the daughter of counter-terrorism agent Jack Bauer (Sutherland) in the American action thriller television series 24, that essentially contributed in the widest recognition. It was in the year 2004 when she acted in the feature film The Girl Next Door.

Elisha Cuthbert potential was first witnessed when at the age of 7 Cuthbert started modeling for various lines of children's clothing and this was followed by her becoming the foot model for the prestigious brands. Her first appearance in the television happened as an extra in a horror-themed series specially made for the children, Are You Afraid of the Dark? But it was due to her superb acting that she became a regular in the series.

It was at this time she also performed in a number of activities ranging from co hosting Popular Mechanics for Kids, that was filmed in montreal. Her reporting was so outstanding that she even caught the attention of the then First Lady, Hillary Clinton and was invited to the White House. It was in the year 1997 in the film Dancing on the Moon she had her first role in a featutre film. In respect of Hollywood she initiated her career there through small roles in films like Old School and Love Actually in 2003.

Her next film was The girl next door, where she acted in the role of an ex-porn star. With the released of the film the critics became divided, while somepraising the filmfor its boldness and the others condemned it for being both gimmicky and exploitative. But it was form this film that Hollywood became conscious of the sex appeal of Elisha Cuthbert. Now days Cuthbert is scheduled to appear in the family comedy The Six Wives of Henry LeFay with the noteworthy actor Tim Allen and the shooting is scheduled to commence in mid-August of 2007.
