The world’s richest Supermodel winning the Guineas World Record, Gisele Bundchen was born to Brazilian parents university teacher Vladir and bank employee Vania. At the age of 14 she ranked second in a national modeling contest Elite Look of the Year at Sao Paolo in 1994 and placed fourth in the world contest. In 1996, she moved to New York to take up modeling career debuting in a fashion week.














Since her debut, Gisele Bundchen has been the face of a variety of advertising campaigns including Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni, Versace, Celine, Givenchy, Bvlgari, Lanvin, Guerlian, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Earl Jean, Zara, Chloe, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, and Victoria’s Secret. She also appeared for various Brazilian brands like Multiplan, Colcci and Creditcard to become the highest paid model in the world. Gisele Bundchen has also been the cover of several international fashion magazine including W, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Allure, and also in lifestyle magazines like I-D, The Face, Arena, Citizen K, Flair ,GO, Esquire and Marie Claire. In 1999 Gisele Bundchen appeared on the cover of the July edition of Vogue magazine with an editorial ‘Return of the Curve’ marking the end of the heroin chic era, popular in 1990s. The January 2000 cover shot gave her the rare honor of appearing in three consecutive Vogue cover. The same year she became the fourth model to grace the cover of Rolling Stone.

In 2006, Gisele Bundchen signed a multi-million dollar deal with Apple Computer to promote Macintosh line through the Get a Mac campaign. She has her own line of sandals with shoe company Grendene, called Ipanema Gisele Bundchen. Forbes put her on 53rd of its lists of most powerful celebrities of 2007 due to the success of her shoe line. In July 2007, Forbes named her the world’s top earning model in the list of World’s 15 Top Earning Supermodels.
