Jessica's first appearance in the film world was through a small role in Camp Nowhere as Gail in 1994. Her next venture was with two national TVcomercials or Nintendo and J.C. Perney as a child. This was followed by her acting in several feature films but of independent nature. I the year 1998 she appeared in the reole of Melissa Hauer in a first-season episode of the Stven Boncho crime drama Brooklyn South, in the role of Leanne in two episodes of Beverly Hills 90210 and aldo as Layla in an episode of The Love Boat: The Next Wave.

In the year 1999 Jessica Marie Alba appeared in the Randy Quaid comedy feature named P.U.N.K.S. on the same year she rose into better prominence asfte performing in the role of a member of a snobby high school clique in the comdey Never Been Kissed of Drew Barrymore. However she got a big break when she was selected by the noted writer/director from among 1,200 candidates for the role of the genetically-engineered super-soldier, Max Guevara, for Dark Angel, a science fiction series on the Fox TV.

From time to time she has also got engaged in serious altarcations. It was in the March issue of 2006, in the Playbpoy magazine she was named one of the 25 Sexiest Celebrities, and the Sex Star of the Year. It was alleged by Alba that the magazine used her image without her consent and portrayed herself as if she was in a nude pictoral. This resulted in her proceeding to the court as part of a litigation against the magazine.
