The role was quite impressive as opposed to the damaged daughter of a famous father. Kathryn Bailey Beckinsale has also acted in the films like Van Helsing in 2004 and Underworld in 2003.
Having born in the family of actors like Judy Loe, a stage and television actress and Richard Beckinsale, a television actress it was natural for her to get inclined to the movie world. It was when she was at the Oxford, that Beckinsale was offered a part in the film Much Ado About Nothing, adapted from the Shakespeare play. Again it was in the year 1996 when she starred for the first time in Emma, a TV film adaptation of Jane Austen's novel.
However during the same time she also appeared in few low-profile films that include Shooting Fish, The Last Days of Disco both appeared in 1998. It was in 2006, when Beckinsale appeared in the Adam Sandler starring comedy-drama, Click, which was released on June 23. Next, Beckinsale replaced Sarah Jessica Parker in the film Vacancy that was released in 2007. Her next role will be in Snow Angels, which is in post-production and scheduled for release some time in 2008.
