In most jobs, junior workers can expect to reap the mouse’s share of the perks. Crap parking spaces. Chairs that cause irreparable curvature of the spine. That sort of thing. Not so in Premier League football, where pre-GCSE ‘wonderkids’ can surpass lifelong grafters with a single flick of their boots. Case in point? Arsenal striker Theo Walcott, who, despite the inability to grow a proper beard, most probably earns more money, goes to nicer restaurants and drives a better car than you.
