Tim Westwood And Why I Love Him

Tim Westwood is essentially everything about humanity that I think is wrong. He is in every sense, somebody pretending to be something that they're not. For a start, he's pretty much a 40 year old bloke acting like he's at most 20. And let's not forget the fact that he is a white man who thinks he is and acts like a stereotypical black man. The latter of which, I personally find to be one of the most offensive things any body can do. Not to mention, he is probably one of the most obnoxious people you will ever see.

You'd think this would be more than enough of a reason to hate him, but for some reason I can't bring myself to. Let us journey through the things that I think there are to love about Tim Westwood or as he probably likes to call himself, Yo' Boy Westwood.

1. He Is Really Awkward

Everything he does is socially awkward. I haven't seen a guy look so uncomfortable in his own body since this morning. Everything he does and says just doesn't seem quite right. If you have ever seen him on Pimp My Ride UK, I think you will entirely agree with me. His body is way too big for his head and his head is too small for his body. He really comes across as that guy who is just really geeky and hangs out with the cool kids but they just take the piss out of him, so I think that's why I find it endearing.

2. Everything He Says Is Hilarious

This one, I don't think is intentional. He shouts things at the people on Pimp My Ride UK and you just want to cringe. Every time he is on screen, I find myself braced for a funny and Yo' Boy Westwood never fails to deliver. I think it must be his slang that makes it funny. I was watching an interview he did with a woman and he kept calling her 'man'. He also referred to the people who get their cars 'pimped' as "pimpees". What a hero.

3. He Talks With His Hands

That's a redeeming feature of anybody. Something that is hilarious about Gordon Ramsay is that he has such funny hand motions like the little hand-chop thing. If Gordon Ramsay, who by all rights should be the least likeable prick ever, is made likeable because of these, then why can't Tim Westwood be? Plus he uses all the 'gangsta' hand signal things. West Sy-eed! He is such a hip-hop guy! Don't hate, appreciate!

4. He Presents Pimp My Ride UK

That instantly puts him level with Xzibit on coolness terms! Tim Westwood literally makes a living by acting like a complete idiot. What more do you want from someone than for them to go round 'pimping rides' and 'chilling with the cool cats'. I think Pimp My Ride is probably the second most awkward thing he has ever done, in how he acts and just generally is. The first is:

5. He Was In Chipmunk's 'Chip Diddy Chip' Music Video

I don't know if you have heard this song or seen the video but it is fucking brilliant. The song is just top notch. Chipmunk is actually really good, his lyrics are witty ("Annoy the haters like a tag along" being a personal favourite) and he's an all round cheeky chappy. Yo' Boy Westwood appears as the teacher in a little intermission-y part of the video in what I can only assume to be an unscripted scene or just the worst writing in the history of time. If you skip to 1:47 of Chip Diddy Chip, you'll witness the 'freestylin'' of Westwood. Comedy genius!

6. He's A Banter King

He is possibly the biggest hidden banter beacon in the history of time. Wherever he goes, you know the biggest amount of banter is going to ensue. He just says what he thinks, and if anybody doesn't like it, then they have no chance against his razor sharp wit and lyric spitting abilities. Have you ever seen or heard of anybody taking the piss out of Westwood and living to tell the tale? No, me neither.

7. He's Either The Biggest Try Hard Or The Most Successful IRL Troll Ever

Think about it, he acts like he's a stereotypical black young'un and is considered to be a British pioneer in Grime. Think how many people this pisses off! I think he does it to see how many people he can make angry. Even the people that are considered to be 'his crowd' hate him and get mega angry whenever he does something! He's the sort of guy you love to hate and I love that!
