Do I Hate Getting My Hair Cut?

/ On : 6:30 AM/ Thank you for visiting my small blog here. If you wanted to discuss or have the question around this article, please contact me e-mail at herdiansyah hamzah@yahoo.com.
I wouldn't usually be up for this sort of blog, but it's one of those ones where you tell people about things that you've done in the day. Well I went to get my haircut because it was growing out a little too much and I had promised myself I wouldn't let it get out of hand again.

Considering the fact that I have actually quite enjoyed getting my hair cut the last times, I think it's the idea of going for one. Everything about the idea just doesn't seem right.

I have four main problems with going to the haircut place:

1. The finished cut usually looks shit

2. I hate small talk and awkward conversation with strangers

3. I'm really self conscious and can't handle thirty straight
minutes of staring at a mirror

4. Strangers shouldn't be allowed to touch your head so much.

The last two times I've been though, everything has been alright except for the unavoidable confrontation with the mirror and the excessive amount of hand-head contact.

The first of these two times, I went on a bit of a whim to be honest. My was beyond unruly and I was just fed up. I had no idea what I wanted but I went in and literally picked a hairstyle I liked out of the book. The guy in the picture had a bloody tasty military jacket on too! It was ruined slightly by having "Better to burn out than fade away" written above it, but the haircut was pretty ace.

For anyone who doesn't know me, my hair before was pretty much doesn't grow long, it grows outwards. It just gets big and curly and un-manageable. It also looks pretty stupid, but on the whole, I mostly don't care. But I got fed up.

Big hair times!
My re-cut was a little delayed because of a lack of money, but I finally went yesterday and I quite like it. I think this guy made it a bit shorter but it's good.

This is how it looked a couple of weeks after the first cut (plus the aftermath of my black eye courtesy of the Devon & Cornwall Police):

Please don't judge me for the classic bathroom picture.

Well here is how it looks fresh from a night's sleep and a little bit of TLC (or not, as the case is more probably):

Too close!                         Sporting the classic 'Myspace Pose'

I quite like it, which is a nice change from how I used to feel after a haircut. And the shop was busy so no awkward conversations for me.

Another generic bathroom shot except this one has flash so you can see any visible dirt!

But more importantly, what do you think? (No, I don't mean about the embarrassing photos - the haircut is clearly what was important thing here).

Just as a little after thought, I figure I should probably explain that I have no idea how to use the self timer (I know, what a bloody embarrassment) so I have had to do the classic arm length camera pictures.
